2018 Progress Report
450 tree seedlings were planted for windbreaks and hedgerows
a 380 square foot dwelling was completely remodeled
The bridge over the irrigation ditch was reinforced with steel beams,
and the top planks replaced
A full bathroom and laundry room was built inside
one of the shipping containers
A 4-people bunkouse was built inside the other shipping container
One of the five irrigation gates was rebuilt
A 2,000 square foot steel frame addition is being created,
and will accommodate a dining hall for 30 people, a camp kitchen, mudroom
and ADA compliant handicap bathroom
Because of safety, liability and structural integrity issues,
we hired a crew of professional welders.
This spring, we will begin walling-in the new structure with
strawbales and mud plaster.
